How We Verify Fundraisers
Every campaign on FundlyHub goes through an automated review before it's published. Here's how we protect donors and keep the platform trustworthy.
AI-Powered AutomaticHow It Works
When you click Publish, your campaign passes through three checkpoints, one at a time. If something needs attention, you'll see exactly what to fix — right in the app.
1 Identity Check
Before we look at your campaign, we make sure you are ready. This keeps anonymous scammers off the platform.
We check that you have:
| ✓ | Requirement |
|---|---|
| 📸 | A profile photo |
| 👤 | Your first and last name |
| 📧 | A verified email address |
| 📱 | A phone number on file |
| 🖼️ | At least one campaign image |
Why this matters
Donors are more likely to contribute to campaigns by real people they can identify. Completing your profile also boosts your Trust Score (more on that below).
2 Content Review
Next, your campaign content is scanned automatically. This instant check catches common issues before the AI even gets involved — saving you time.
What we look for:
- ✅ Enough detail — Your story needs to explain your cause clearly (at least 200 characters)
- ✅ A real title — Between 10 and 100 characters, not all caps
- ✅ Realistic goal — Between $50 and $10 million
- ✅ Original content — Not a copy of another active campaign
- ✅ Clear fund usage — How you plan to use the money
What can get flagged?
Campaigns with very generic stories, repetitive text, or language patterns commonly associated with scams may be flagged for manual review or asked to provide more detail.
3 AI Analysis
Campaigns that pass Steps 1 and 2 are reviewed by our AI, which reads your campaign like a human reviewer would. It evaluates:
- Story quality — Is your narrative specific, coherent, and genuine?
- Verifiable details — Do you mention real names, locations, or institutions?
- Consistency — Does your title match your story and your goal?
- Category fit — Does a medical campaign mention the condition or hospital?
The AI gives your campaign a story quality score and provides suggestions to help you improve — even if everything looks fine.
AI Suggestions are always helpful
Even approved campaigns receive tips! You might see suggestions like "Adding a photo of the community center would build donor trust" or "Consider mentioning the hospital by name."
Your Trust Score
Every campaign receives a Trust Score from 0–100. This is a measure of how complete and credible your campaign profile is. A higher score means donors can trust your campaign more.

Frequently Asked Questions
How long does verification take?
Most campaigns are verified instantly. If your campaign is sent for manual review, it's usually processed within 24 hours.
Can I edit my campaign after publishing?
Yes! You can update your story, photos, goal, and other details at any time from your dashboard.
Why was my campaign sent for review?
This usually means the AI found something it wasn't sure about — like a medical campaign that doesn't name a hospital. It doesn't mean anything is wrong. Our team will take a look.
Is the Trust Score visible to donors?
No. Your Trust Score is used internally to help our system make decisions. Donors don't see the number, but they benefit from the trust signals it represents (verified profile, detailed story, etc.).
What if I don't have a Stripe account?
You can still publish a campaign. However, connecting Stripe verifies your identity and is required before you can withdraw funds.
